About me

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY35526) based in Los Angeles.

I work with individuals who are struggling to manage overwhelming emotions, physical discomfort, or the effects of sleeplessness. Whether you're dealing with the persistent worry of anxiety, the heavy weight of depression, the daily struggle of chronic pain, or the frustration of sleepless nights, I am here to support you in creating meaningful change.

I have a personal meditation practice including, Mindfulness, Vipassana, and Loving Kindness Meditation which I have cultivated for over a decade. I aim to bring a non-judgmental awareness to everything I do both in personal and professional contexts. I understand that not everyone finds formal meditation works for them and tailor my approach to each individual.

Education and background

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in the psychology of music from New York University and both a Master’s and Doctoral Degree from Pepperdine University.

Throughout my clinical training, I have gained extensive experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of mental health challenges. I completed my clinical internship at California State University, Long Beach, within their University Counseling Center, where I provided services to students navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and career-related stress.

Following my internship, I completed a Post-Doctoral Residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration, where I received specialized training in mindfulness based interventions through thier Whole Health Initiative. In these roles, I facilitated both group and individual sessions focusing on anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain. I also contributed to the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Clinic, assisting veterans with sleep disorders such as insomnia through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI) and helping them manage discomfort related to sleep apnea devices like CPAP/APAP machines.

In addition to these experiences, I have worked with underserved populations, including unhoused individuals at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row in Los Angeles and young adults at Job Corps in Downtown LA. I have also completed rotations at the Long Beach Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center, where I specialized in chronic pain management within the Spinal Cord Injury Hospital and provided trauma-focused care for veterans with PTSD.
